Tractor Trailer DUI Accident | Personal Injury Lawyer
TRACTOR TRAILER DUI ACCIDENT:
How much are lawyer fees for a tractor trailer DUI Accident?: (1) a truck lawyer is paid at the end of the case from a percentage of the settlement he obtains. This process is called a “contingency fee.” A contingency fee is based on the reality that most people injured in a tractor trailer accident cannot afford to pay a lawyer’s hourly rate. In Atlanta, many lawyers charge as much as $625.00 per hour for legal fees. A contingency fee gives people injured by a drunk driver access to a trucking lawyer they would not otherwise be able to afford; (2) A contingency fee means that the tractor trailer lawyer is paid a percentage of any settlement he obtains. In most cases, the percentage is 1/3 of the total amount settled- for cases that do not require a lawsuit to be filed. So, if a DUI caused truck accident case settles for say $100.00, then attorneys fees would be $33.00 on a 1/3 contingency. The settlement figure used for this example is very very low and used only to illustrate the math. An actual DUI caused trucking accident would settle for a much greater amount; (3) In a typical case, if the trucking injury lawyer does not win the case, then the client does not owe a fee.
LEGAL FEES IN A TRACTOR TRAILER DUI CAUSED ACCIDENT:
- Lawyer is paid at the end of the case
- Lawyer is paid a percentage of the settlement
- Lawyer is not owed a fee if he does not win

A CASE ILLUSTRATING MY WORK IN A DUI ACCIDENT / TRACTOR TRAILER ACCIDENT
Drunk driver Caused Accident / Intoxicated Driver / DUI Driver
A drunk driver struck and severely injured our client in the Roswell Alpharetta area. Our client suffered leg (“femur fractures”) to both legs. The at fault driver was a North Fulton County school teacher. The investigating officer did not suspect the drunk driver was DUI and did not charge her at the scene. When we entered the case, we immediately requested a report of the driver’s blood alcohol level. We learned that she had been highly intoxicated at the time of the accident. This information, combined with compelling witness statements, helped produce a superior settlement.
Truck Accident Fulton County / Tractor Trailer Accident
A truck driver rear ended my client as he was driving on I20. The tractor trailer was operated by an intermodal motor carrier which had a record of unsafe operation including falsified driver logs and accidents caused by fatigue. My client suffered a cervical herniation.
